Psychotherapy

Helping people through the unexpected

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I facilitate psychotherapy and psychoanalysis with adults who are faced with an unexpected life event or crisis. This can include a sudden loss, family or relationship strain, work-related changes, legal matters or medical issues. I offer support until a comfortable sense of stability and balance is reached in order to move forward. We work together to tap into your resiliency and strengths by identifying coping strategies and drawing from internal and external resources. My style is interactive and at times direct while listening with a trained psychoanalytic ear. My personal history in rebounding after a life-changing event and traumatic loss informs me in my work, allowing for deeper insight, empathy and appreciation for the challenges we may all face and how they can be overcome.

My mission as a psychotherapist is to guide and support individuals through periods of transition, helping to manage any symptoms of depression and anxiety while exploring practical steps to achieve balance, a sense of control, and a place of comfort.

The models of therapy I apply are strength-based and solution-focused, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and other psychodynamic approaches.

Over the years I’ve worked with a variety of men and women, including students and young professionals, seasoned executives, entrepreneurs, lawyers, actors and artists.

As a former clinical social work supervisor, I can provide clinical supervision hours necessary for LCSW licensing requirements or simply act as an outside and neutral sounding board to assist with processing and reflection.
